Pawnee Bill was the first man to create what was known as the Great Far East for his Wild West Show which was a group of performers from all over the world. Many dancers were highered from different countries, such as Bengal and Senegal, China, and the Middle East. They were known as the Living Picture and performed their traditional dances for American audiences, many of which had never traveled outside of their home towns. It was shocking to the turn of the century audiences and it will be a great treat to include it in our 2010 show. Nothing like this has been done in the actual show since we began recreating them in 1988.
